    2018 Yearbooks are here!  You can pick up your copy from 8:30 am to 9:30am and from 1:30 to 2:30 pm. Cost is $40.

    PSAT  - Attention sophomores and juniors –The PSAT will be administered at Shenandoah Valley High School Wednesday,   October 10, 2018 starting at 8:15 a.m.  Cost is $16.   See Mrs. Chittalia to sign up!!! 

   All drug testing permission forms must be signed and returned by Monday, October 1st .  If permission for testing are not   returned you are unable to participate in any extracurricular activities including all sports and events such as Prom for the   entire remaining school year.

   Seniors who plan to attend a two or four year college, university or technical school can apply for the Simon Youth Community   Scholarship  program. Students can apply online at syf.org/scholarships or pick up more information in guidance.

   All students who drive to school MUST have an up to date 2018-2019 Parking tag.  Anyone who parks in the school lot and does   not have an 18-19 parking pass will be asked to move the vehicle from the lot.

   SHINE is an after school program that includes homework time, STEAM activities, and a dinner.  Any student in grades 9-12   interested in signing up for SHINE should see Ms. McCloskey, Miss Lesisko, Mrs. Hixson, or Mr. Pytko for details.

   Students in grades 5-12 who have engaged in a volunteer activity can apply for the Prudential Spirit of Community Awards   program. Application information can be found in the guidance office or at spirit.prudential.com.

   Seniors who play sports can apply for the Wendy’s High School Heisman Scholarship. Apply online at wendysheisman.com or   stop in guidance for more information.

   5th through 8th graders can submit entries for the Elks Lodge Americanism Essay Contest. Criteria can be found in the   guidance office.

   Students in 6th-8th grade can enter the Elks Drug Awareness Essay Contest. More information can be found in the guidance   office.

   Seniors can apply for the Elks Most Valuable Student Scholarship. Apply online at www.elks.org.

   Senior students with a sincere interest in becoming an RN can sign up to “spend a day in nursing school” through the Joseph F.   McCloskey School of Nursing. Slots are limited, so if interested see Mrs. Mikita ASAP.

   High School seniors who plan to pursue a bachelor’s degree, have critical financial need and involvement in extracurricular   activities can apply for the Horatio Alger Scholarship. Apply online at www.horatioalger.org/scholarships or stop in guidance.

   Students in grades 6-12 interested in starting a real business or social movement can enroll in the Young Entrepreneurs   Academy or YEA program. Scholarships are available for Shenandoah Valley students and free transportation is also provided.   See Mrs. Mikita for more information about this exciting program.

Elementary Announcements:

​  Band Lessons today will be percussion. Tomorrow will be full band.
  Any teachers who still have donut forms please make sure to hand them in to a 5th or 6th grade teacher by the end of the   school day today.
