   If any student still needs a sports physical, Dr. Setlock will be here on October 26th.  Please sign up in the nurse's office if you  need a sports physical.  Cost $5 

   S.V. Band is currently taking orders for Subs Delivery...Oct. 17th. Contact any band member to place your order. There is an  order form for staff in the high school office. 

   Any senior interested in applying for the Rotary Student of the Month needs to see Mr. Pytko in C-127 for an application. The  deadline to apply will be October 1st, 2017.

   Anyone who is interested in singing in the Schuylkill County Chorus, please see Mr. Shoener in the Band Room for more  information. This is open to all SV students Grades 9-12.


   Friday- Marching Band Members are excused at 9:10 AM for the Gratz Fair Performance Trip. Please meet in the Band Room.

   Successful Student Partnership Tutoring will begin on Monday September 25th.  The program is available to all 7th through 12th  graders who would like some time to get your work done before you go home and to have some teacher assistance as well as  access to the computers.  The program runs from Monday through Thursday from 3:00 until 4:00.  You must have work to do (it  is not a place to hang out waiting for a game or practice) and you must have a ride home or be able to walk home at 4:00.  To  sign up see Mrs. Hixson in the Virtual Academy

   Any student in grades 5-12 who has volunteer activity is encouraged to apply for the  2018 Prudential Spirit of Community  Awards.  Goto spirit.prudential.com or nassp.org/spirit by November 7, 2017 to apply.

    The Schreyer Honors College at Penn State University will host its Scholars Day Open House on Friday, September 22. Go to  shc.psu.edu/scholarsday

​    Once again, T102 and Pennsylvania Career Link are sponsoring a Job and Education Fair at Fairlane Village Mall  in Pottsville.  This one will be on Wednesday September 27th from 10am thru 4pm.  This event will spotlight 90  area employers, technical training, military recruiters, and other post secondary educators participating in this  event.

   Fifth grade fundraiser order forms are due to the office today.
   Any Student in Grades 5 or 6 that is interested in signing up for the Band is reminded of the Instrument Rental Meeting, on Wednesday,  September 27, at 6 PM in the High School Band Room.
